HOW CAN I BUY TICKETS TO A DARKFIELD RADIO SHOW?

DO I NEED TO BE CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET?


Yes - you need to be connected to the internet to experience the show. Do not put your phone into airplane mode.




WHAT CAN I DO TO ENSURE I HAVE THE BEST EXPERIENCE?


  • Ensure you follow the instructions in the show details, or within the audio. They may require you to sit in a specific environment e.g. a kitchen at a table.
  • If you have a slow running phone, we recommend closing down other apps that your phone is running that might compete with the phone’s memory performance.
  • We recommend you turn on 'Do Not Disturb' mode so your phone doesn't recieve notifications during the show.
  • Do not put your phone into airplane mode - you need an internet connection for the show to run.




DO YOU GIVE REFUNDS?


All tickets are non-refundable. If your enjoyment of the performance is in any way compromised due to the malfunctioning of the Darkfield Radio App, we will book you into an alternative show. You can find our full terms and conditions here.




WHAT IS DARKFIELD RADIO ?


DARKFIELD RADIO is a new digital project from the creative team behind the DARKFIELD shipping container exepreinces. The project brings immersive audio experiences to your home. You can find more information about DARKFIELD RADIO and our current broadcasts DOUBLE and VISITORS here




I BOUGHT TICKETS BUT CANNOT SEE THE SHOW IN 'MY EVENTS' ON THE APP


  • You must enter your access code into the app for the show to appear in 'My Events'.
  • If you cannot see the show you have bought a ticket to on the app, or if it doesn't start, check that on the LIVE page the event is showing ‘event prepared’ in green.
  • If it is showing ‘event preparing’ - make sure that you are connected to internet shut down the app and reopen.




I AM NOT RECIEVING NOTIFICATIONS BEFORE THE SHOW


Make sure you have enabled notifications on your device settings for the Darkfield Radio App.




MY SHOW SAYS 'EVENT PREPARING' AND IS NOT STARTING


  • Check you have an active working internet connection.
  • Restart the application and try to open the show again.

QUICK TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS


Open the event in the app between 1-12 hours before your show starts and wait until the event displays: "event prepared" in green. If you don't see "event prepared", try the following:​​

  • Check for a good internet connection
  • Android only: Go to phone settings > app settings > darkfield radio settings > clear cache
  • Close all other apps - especially media player apps​
  • Check device memory is not at capacity ​
  • Restart the Darkfield Radio app
  • Restart the device

IS IT OK TO DO WITH THREE OR MORE PEOPLE?


DOUBLE is designed to be experienced facing another person at a kitchen table. You could pair up and face each other, or perhaps face each other as a group. For odd numbers, you could divide up into groups of two and a three. VISITORS is designed for TWO people only.




IS IT OK TO DO SOLO?


DARKFIELD RADIO experiences are designed for TWO people. Some experiences such a DOUBLE will work solo but it won’t quite be complete. VISITORS is designed for TWO people and will not work solo FOR DOUBLE If you are able to, you could video call a friend and sit them on a laptop across the table from you. Please note that you won’t be able to video call from the same mobile device you will listen from.




HOW LONG DOES THE SHOW LAST?


VISITORS has a running time of 20 minutes. DOUBLE has a running time of 20 minutes




I DON'T HAVE A KITCHEN TABLE


The audio setting sounds like you are in your kitchen,
so just whatever works best for you.
If you can pop a little side table and chairs in your kitchen, or chairs either side of your kitchen bench that would work. Otherwise a dining table or coffee table is fine or whatever you have near(ish) to your kitchen...
